Baume & Mercier Warranty
LIMITED WARRANTY (United States & Canada)
The following terms and conditions of the Baume & Mercier Limited Warranty mentioned below apply to Baume & Mercier watches sold or presented for warranty service in the United States of America and Canada only, in lieu of the Baume & Mercier International Guarantee covering any Baume & Mercier watch sold or presented for warranty service anywhere else in the world.
Limited Warranty
Your Baume & Mercier watch is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for a period of 24 months from the date of purchase, subject to the following conditions. Any part found by our technical services to be defective, as a result of manufacturing defects, will be repaired or replaced free of charge, at the sole discretion of Baume & Mercier. In order to benefit from this warranty, you will be required to present the Baume & Mercier Limited Warranty certificate, duly completed, dated, stamped and signed by an authorized Baume & Mercier retailer. Please keep this certificate in a safe place.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, this Limited Warranty shall be the exclusive manufacturer warranty. Neither this Limited Warranty nor any other warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or of fitness for any particular purpose, shall extend beyond the period of 24 months from the date of purchase. The liability of Baume & Mercier is limited solely and exclusively to repair or replacement as stated herein. Baume & Mercier shall not be liable, by virtue of this Limited Warranty or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising out of the use of or inability to use your watch or for any incidental or consequential damages relating in any way to your watch. Some States, Provinces or Territories do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation or incidental or consequential damages so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
EXCLUSIONS
The Baume & Mercier Limited Guarantee does not cover:
- Defects arising from accidents, mishandling, incorrect or abusive use (for example but not limited to, knocks, crushing, moisture in the case of non water-resistant watches), the use of or effects of using batteries other than those designated by Baume & Mercier, any alterations, manipulations or interventions not performed by an authorized Baume & Mercier retailer;
- Leather straps;
- The results of normal wear and aging of the watch and of the metal bracelet;
- Theft or loss;
- Watches where the serial number or other characteristics have been deliberately removed or altered. This Limited Warranty grants you specific legal rights, in addition to which you may have other legal rights, which vary from one Country, Province or Territory to another.
If you have a water-resistant watch, this feature is only guaranteed if an authorized Baume & Mercier After-Sales Service Center or an authorized Baume & Mercier retailer has performed a water-resistance test after each time the watch case is opened, for any reason whatsoever.
