Today, Jared sources natural diamonds from the deserts in southern Africa to the barren white landscape of the Canadian Arctic in accordance with the Kimberly Process, an international certification program designed to prevent the financing of wars against legitimate governments. In other words, our natural diamonds are conflict-free. Jared lab-created diamonds are grown from diamond seeds in highly controlled laboratories that simulate the earth’s natural growing environment. They have identical properties to natural diamonds but take just four to six weeks to form.

When it comes to sourcing the natural diamonds we offer, Jared enforces some of the industry’s strictest protocols to ensure our diamonds are acquired in a manner that advances human rights and helps preserve our planet. The same strict protocols are in place with lab-created diamonds to effectively address human rights, labor rights, environmental impact, production practices and product disclosures, in our supply chain.

Science has enabled us to produce lab-created gems in abundance which makes larger sized diamonds more affordable, but their relative abundance may not ensure that the value will hold over time.
